This exciting and active workshop engages students in the classic dances of Harlem’s Savoy Ballroom, a world-class institution of music and dance in operation from 1926 through 1958. Students will be acquainted with the origins, relevance, and steps of social dances such as the “Lindy Hop,” “Shorty George,” and “Suzy-Q.”
