About Us and Job Description:
Reports to: Principal This position also includes being the Dance Team coach.
Purpose: Employee will instruct students using the NC Essential Standards in Dance
Qualifications:
BA or BS in Dance or substantial experience in teaching elementary children in an organized setting
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide a safe environment- physical, emotional, and psychological for all students
Offer student challenging work in the area of dance
Plan lessons based on the North Carolina Essential Standards for the grade level
Collaborate with staff members as needed to integrate arts into core instruction
Demonstrates dance methods and procedures to students
Provide students feedback on their work
Differentiate instruction for students based on their skills and capabilities
Contribute to extra-curricular performances given by students
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
