We are excited to announce the launch IABD's Kitchen Table Talks. These webinars will address current affairs in the Black Dance Sector, providing valuable insights and discussions for our community by covering various subjects, including professional development for students, auditionees, arts administrators, and more.
The Kitchen Table Talk program is a peer learning-based webinar series. Initially a COHI | MOVE program component, this program has expanded its offerings to be a sector-wide professional development opportunity. The bi-monthly webinar series will name inherent challenges in the dance sector and provide resources that develop opportunities for the sector to overcome those challenges, while developing/fortifying business acumen, and offering a platform for relevant industry conversations.
Each 90-minute webinar is designed to ignite your curiosity and foster engagement. It features 30-60 minutes of training/presentation, followed by 30-60 minutes of group discussion. This innovative structure is designed to foster a sense of community and enhance the dance sector.
