When you join The International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD) you become part of an active and supportive network of over 1,500 members from across the globe. IABD has been the national service organization for Black Dance professionals for over 30 years. Our services and resources benefit our members regardless of what stage in their career. We are not a typical association, we are a family, all dedicated to strengthening the dance field.
Our services
Advocacy: IABD uses it voice to advocate for policies benefiting the Black dance and the wider arts and culture sectors.
Discounts: We offer discounts on classes, events, tickets and the annual international conference and festival.
Fiscal Sponsorship: IABD serves as a fiscal sponsor by agreeing to receive funds on an artist's or organizations behalf. Because IABD is a 501(c)3 organization, contributions received on your behalf are tax-deductible to donors. CLICK HERE for more information about fiscal sponsorship.
News: IABD keeps its members up to date on advocacy, auditions, classes, events, jobs, news, and performances, with IABD’s weekly 411 and monthly members only newsletter Timekeepers of the Flame.
Marketing and Promotion: We promote classes, events, and/or services on our centralized calendar and social media. Most memberships cover a limited number of dedicated e-blasts that are delivered to our 7,000 and growing email subscribers.
