Performance opportunities in classical ballet

OPEN PERFORMING GROUP (OPG) provides adult students with rehearsal and performance opportunities in classical ballet. This performing group is made up of students of the Open Ballet Class program at ARC. There is no audition to be part of OPG. OPG rehearses and performs at the ARC Dance Space. There is one performance opportunity throughout the year (September – June): Rehearsals are Sundays 2:30-4:00 The OPG season for 2024 has concluded. The 2025 season will be posted in January 2025. Please check back soon… Registration to join the 2025 OPG performance will begin in January. There is a 1.5 hour rehearsal commitment for a minimum of 6 to 10 rehearsals on scheduled Sundays with a dress rehearsal prior to performances. OPG Rehearsals and performances are supplemental to regular Open class program. We recommend students be in dance classes regularly in order to maintain technique, strength, step comprehension, and the endurance, necessary to perform choreography. It is also advised to attend the Sunday Open class prior to rehearsal. OPG will only operate if there is a minimum number of 8 students registered by the first week of the first scheduled rehearsal. In the event the minimum number of students is not met, a refund (in the form of payment) will be issued to registered OPG students.
